Report shares how much Man City want to sell Ederson amid Saudi Arabia transfer links

Manchester City have cashed in on some big-name players in recent transfer windows.

For example, the Citizens have sold the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez and Cole Palmer for significant transfer fees, all of which came during the previous summer transfer period.

After bringing in Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes, Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol in the same window, Pep Guardiola’s side then went on to win a fourth consecutive Premier League trophy and strengthen their status as the best team in England.

Now though, with another figure in City’s squad being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, who Laporte and Mahrez joined last summer, some behind-the-scenes information has emerged regarding how much money the Blues may look to ask for the player in question.

Man City have a price in mind to sell Ederson

A recent report from talkSPORT has claimed that City would want in excess of £30m to sell Ederson, who has been linked with a move to Al Nassr, this summer.

Back in the 2017 summer transfer window, the Blues spent £35m to sign the goalkeeper from Benfica.

During his time at the Etihad Stadium, the Brazilian has made 332 appearances across all competitions, keeping 155 clean sheets and winning many titles along the way.

Ederson has been vital for City

Described by Danny Murphy as one of the best footballing goalkeepers in Premier League history, Ederson has undoubtedly been a key figure in City’s successes in recent years.

While we think it would be a big blow for City if they were to lose their first-choice goalkeeper this summer, it wouldn’t be a complete disaster if they were to get roughly they same amount of money for him as paid to sign him after seven years of service.

Moving forward, it’s safe to say that many City supporters will be very interested to see if a bid comes in for Ederson and if the club accept it or not.
