Duda convenes Polish Security Council meeting before NATO summit

Polish President Andrzej Duda has convened a meeting of the National Security Council of Poland for Monday, June 8, according to the statement of the Polish President.

Before the NATO summit, Duda convened Poland's National Security Council. The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday.

"I have decided to convene the National Security Council on Monday, at 9 a.m., before we leave for Washington, where we will have the opportunity to exchange views and ideas in detail about what will be discussed at the NATO summit on the political side," Duda said.

NATO summit

As reported, the NATO summit will be held on July 9-11 in Washington, DC. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would sign another security agreement during the NATO summit.

In addition, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Douglas Jones said that during the NATO summit, Ukraine would be offered "concrete ways" to accelerate its future membership in NATO.
