How Arsenal star Ben White spent his summer after snubbing England and Southgate before Euro 2024

Arsenal right-back Ben White has been enjoying his freedom this summer, as he isn’t representing England at Euro 2024.

Ben White is not on international duty this summer, and as such has been able to spend his summer as he sees fit.

The 26-year-old is deserving of a rest. He was in exceptional form for Arsenal last season, racking up 51 appearances across all competitions. He was also able to chip in with 4 goals and 5 assists.

The 4-cap former England international is a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium. He is a consistent, hard-working performer, who has earned Mikel Arteta’s full trust. On top of that, White is Arsenal’s troublemaker-in-chief on the pitch, a master of the dark arts who excels in winding up opposition players.

How has Arsenal ace Ben White spent his summer?

In early June, as reported by The Sun, White and his partner, Milly Adams, were seen enjoying a ride on a speedboat whilst attending a wedding in an exotic location abroad.

Just a week later, as per The Sun again, the full-back, Adams, and family members were spotted in Ibiza. The group enjoyed some drinks together whilst sat in the sunshine outside a bar, and the Arsenal man was also spied carrying nicotine pouches and cigars.

Now, White has been reunited with Arteta. White was one of the first Arsenal players to arrive at the summer training camp in Marbella. The Spanish coach is clearly seeking to gain an advantage over his rivals by reconvening some of his players earlier than usual.

Martin Odegaard recently shared an update on how the Arsenal camp in the Spanish city is going. Arteta has ensured a relaxed atmosphere, affording his players plenty of free time and welcoming their families to the coastal city too. Odegaard was also able to travel this summer, joined by Kai Havertz, prior to his arrival in Marbella.

Why is White not playing for England at Euro 2024?

Back in March, Arsenal sporting director Edu informed Gareth Southgate that White no longer wished to be considered for England duty.

White has been criticised for his stance from some quarters, but ultimately it was a private, personal decision that ought to be respected as such. Southgate has since stated that the Arsenal man is no closer to coming back into the fold with the Three Lions.

In the meantime, Arsenal trio Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, and Aaron Ramsdale are currently representing the nation in Germany.

In this week’s episode, Will Jones and Rahul Lakhani discussed England’s recent victory over Slovakia at the European Championships. With Arsenal players Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka featuring again, Man City star Kyle Walker came under scrutiny.

With Arsenal also linked to Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori, the pair explained why the Italy star could be the perfect fit for Mikel Arteta. Recent social media rumours surrounding a potential Arsenal move for a Germany International were also addressed, with some candidates named.
