'The best': Former manager says 'unbelievable' Everton player is just like Diego Maradona

It’s been a busy few weeks on the transfer front for Sean Dyche and Everton, and the Toffees’ business shows no sign of letting up.

Reports in Italy suggest the Blues have submitted a bid for Hellas Verona’s Jackson Tchatchoua.

Furthermore, tenuous links from Africa suggest a deal is in place for Mali marksman Sekou Kota to move to Goodison Park.

With pursuits for Hull City’s Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves ongoing, there’s plenty for Evertonians to get excited about as the start of the season approaches.

However, Everton have now been told a done deal could well be the most exciting piece of business to take place this summer.

Everton completed the signing of long-term target Iliman Ndiaye this week, which gave Dyche’s forward ranks a much-needed boost.

The former Sheffield United man was electric during his time at Bramall Lane, netting 22 goals and registering 14 assists.

Before his move to the Blades, Ndiaye spent time with non-league outfit Boreham Wood, and his former manager, Luke Garrard, has sung his praises.

“It sounds so bad because there’s only one Diego Maradona,” Garrard told the Daily Mail after watching a video of the Ndiaye during the early days of his career.

“But he runs through just like him! He sits four or five players down, turns them inside out… It’s an unbelievable goal.”

The Boreham Wood boss went on to suggest the Senegal international was the best player he’s ever coached.

“I thought he was the best I’d ever played with or coached,” he added.

Everton veteran players big role in Iliman Ndiaye transfer

According to reports, Everton veteran Idrissa Gana Gueye played a significant role in bringing the former Sheffield United man to Goodison Park.

With striker reinforcements required, Ndiaye’s compatriot did an excellent job in ensuring he moved to Merseyside.

WithDominic Calvert-Lewins’ future uncertain, Everton’s newest recruit could have an important role this season.

Goals have always been a problem for the Toffees, so relying on a consistent marksman for Dyche could be a game-changer.
