Don’t worry, The Mole has not ditched its iconic notebooks feature, in which each contestant keeps a pad of secrets to jot down any clues and questions asked who the suspected mole is.
One year, each contestant was tasked with exchanging notebooks so they could see what a co-star had written down in a wild twist. This year, they’re not as heavily featured, but can be seen in the background.
The Mole contestant, Neesh, claimed the notebooks are red this year. She said on the show how no one other than the Mole themselves has an incentive to lie about who they picked.

Viewers question where they are
The notebooks are scarce and hard to spot in The Mole’s newest season. Many fans have taken to a Reddit thread to discuss where they are, with one simply asking, “What happened to the notebooks?”
A fan asked, “I wonder why notebooks have disappeared? Are they taking notes, but it’s not focused on?” while one said, “You don’t need a notebook to figure out how tall the Mole is or which car s/he was in.”
“I’ve noticed the player journals from the original seasons are missing. In the old seasons, we had the opportunity to see players writing and using their journals, which added depth to the game,” said a fan.
