Latvia will hand over another batch of drones to Ukraine in July. More than 2,500 combat drones of various types and characteristics will be delivered to Ukraine for a total of 4 million euros, according to the Latvian Ministry of Defense.
The first batch of 300 drones will be delivered in the coming days.
"The drone coalition is gaining momentum. The next batch will include more than 2,500 drones manufactured by seven Latvian companies. Together with the members of the drone coalition, we are constantly working to supply Ukraine with combat drones of various capacities following the current needs and testing requirements of the Ukrainian army," says Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds.
This year, the Latvian Ministry of Defense has allocated €20 million for the drone coalition, of which more than €10 million is earmarked for the purchase of drones from the Latvian defense industry.
Currently, the International Drone Coalition includes 14 countries - Latvia, Ukraine, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Italy, France, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

In response to Russian aggression, countries around the world are joining forces to help Ukraine. One of the key steps in this direction was the creation of a drone coalition. This initiative is aimed at purchasing drones for the Ukrainian army.
According to Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Kateryna Chornohorenko, the Ukrainian side is establishing close cooperation with its allies, providing them with valuable data obtained during the testing of UAVs in real combat conditions.
