Jack Harrison states where he thinks Everton can finish during the 2024/25 Premier League season

Jack Harrison sealed his return to Everton last week, and the Leeds United loanee has now revealed where he sees the Toffees finishing next season.

The English winger made 29 appearances during the 2023/24 campaign, scoring three times and registering three assists.

Sean Dyche clearly liked what he saw from the 27-year-old after capturing him for a second loan spell and continuing Everton’s fast start to the summer window.

Although there is no purchase option inserted into Harrison’s current agreement, there is hope a permanent move will emerge in due course.

Speaking during an interview with the club’s official website, Harrison revealed he’s eager to add more attacking output this season and help push the Toffees into the top ten.

“I’m hoping to go back this season and help the team improve on the attacking end,” he said.

“I know defensively we were very sound last season, but on the attacking end, I want to be able to add more to the team and hopefully be able to finish inside the top ten.”

Harrison added: “I think I’d definitely like to improve my numbers with goals and assists. Help create some more chances in the attack. I’m a very ambitious player, I have a lot of aspirations, and one of them is to get into the England squad.

“Hopefully, if I have a good season and create some more chances, have more goals and assists then I’ll be able to achieve that.”

More to come for Everton on the transfer front

With Harrison joining Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye at Goodison Park, Dyche’s summer business is undoubtedly off to a positive start.

And it feels like this is only the start for the former Burnley boss.

Reports in Italy suggest Everton have launched a £6.7m bid to sign Hellas Verona’s Jackson Tchatchoua. Furthermore, Hull City duo Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves also remain on the club’s radar, although Premier League new boys Ipswich Town are thought to have the upper hand.

Evertonians will be encouraged by the early signs in the transfer window, especially considering that only a matter of weeks ago the club’s future was firmly up in the air.
