West Ham summer business nearly complete as Lopetegui moves for 2 elite attackers after Kilman

Julen Lopetegui is eyeing an incredibly exciting double deal, as West Ham United’s summer transfer business really starts to kick into gear.

West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui has already completed some impressive summer transfer business, with Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham arriving at the London Stadium.

A deal to sign Max Kilman is apparently close to being done as well, and now Lopetegui is shifting his focus to strengthening his centre-forward department.

Michail Antonio has been our main striker over the past few years, with the likes of Sebastien Haller and Gianluca Scamacca failing to impress at the London Stadium.

The 34-year-old has been incredible for the Hammers over the years, but his time as a top level striker has come to an end now.

The Jamaica international was nowhere near as as effective for West Ham last season, and if Lopetegui is to oversee some genuine progress, he needs to make a big upgrade on him this summer.

West Ham have been heavily linked with moves for numerous different strikers over the past couple of months.

And now Lopetegui seems to have narrowed his list down to just two…

West Ham summer transfer business nearly complete

Once a deal for Kilman is done, there is no doubt in my mind which position Lopetegui will want to strengthen the most.

If West Ham are to finish back inside the European places this season, the Hammers boss needs to sign a proven centre-forward.

However, one is clearly not enough as far as the Spaniard is concerned.

The 57-year-old West Ham manager is said to be eyeing up two new striker signings.

And once that position is addressed, only two or three more new additions will be needed.

According to Give Me Sport, Julen Lopetegui has an exciting double attacking deal in mind this summer.

Firstly, we have Youssef En-Nesyri. The Moroccan is a long-term transfer target for the Hammers.

The 27-year-old is absolutely perfect for us. He’s strong in the air, always runs the channels and is a very good finisher indeed.

He’s said to be available for around £17 million this summer, and with Saudi interest emerging today, Lopetegui had better act fast if he really wants his former player at the London Stadium.

Next up, we have Simon Banza. The Braga hitman was in sensational form out in Portugal last season, with 21 goals and four assists to his name in the league.

The Congolese ace is absolutely rapid and possesses unbelievably good movement. Alongside the Sevilla ace, the Braga star would be a terrific addition for us.

On top of that, both En-Nesyri and Banza allegedly want to join the Hammers in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United’s summer transfer business could be about to explode into life it seems.
