'I've been telling him': £60m Chelsea player admits he's been speaking to 'unplayable' Arsenal target

Arsenal have a number of transfer targets this summer but it looks like Chelsea’s players are trying to influence things.

The Blues and the Gunners are both looking at new signings and have a history of being involved in similar deals.

The situation with Mykhailo Mudryk is the highest profile deal in recent years but the likes of Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice have also been linked with both clubs in recent times.

Of course, this summer is no different and Chelsea and Arsenal are looking to beat each other to a number of top young players.

One of those players is Spanish sensation, Nico Williams.

Williams is wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham, while Chelsea and Liverpool are also noted as holding an interest in the winger.

And speaking to the media about Williams, Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella has admitted to trying to tempt Williams to Stamford Bridge.

Marc Cucurella shares what he’s been telling Nico Williams to do next

Speaking to Spanish outlet Sport, Cucurella has revealed that he’s been trying to convince Williams to make the move to Chelsea.

“He would be a great signing (for Barcelona), but it all depends on what he wants,” Cucurella said.

“I’ve been telling him to sign for Chelsea…. In the end everything depends on him, he is very young, with a lot of experience. I think he will be a great player.”

Williams is on huge money at Atletico Bilbao and that is believed to be one of the issues in stopping the likes of Arsenal making a solid move so far.

However, the winger looks set to move on eventually and it’s little surprise to see Cucurella making his pitch to convince Williams to come to Chelsea.

Of course, this one could play out over the whole summer and in the end, it might come down to who the ‘unplayable‘ Williams fancies joining.

Chelsea and Arsenal, then, will be hoping they’re at least in the mix come decision time.
