Pep Guardiola wants to sign Dani Olmo for Man City this summer

According to a recent report from Bild, City are likely to be hot on the trail of Dani Olmo this summer because Guardiola is really keen to have the midfielder in his squad due to Kevin De Bruyne’s recent links with a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

The report also adds that RB Leipzig are eager to make a profit on the Spaniard, who has a release clause in his contract worth €60m (£50m), this summer.

Olmo could be a special signing for City

After scoring 34 goals and delivering 28 assists in 124 senior appearances for Dinamo Zagreb, the midfielder, who Julian Nagelsmann has previously described as an “outstanding” player when speaking to RBLive.de (via bulinews.com), joined Leipzig back in January 2020.

Since then, the 26-year-old, who Josko Gvardiol has reportedly spoken to about joining him at City, has found the back of the net 29 times and delivered 34 assists in 148 appearances across all competitions.

With a clear capability when it comes to scoring and setting up goals, much like De Bruyne has, it comes as no surprise that Guardiola is eager to see City land a deal for Olmo this summer.
