Stranger Things Inspires This Year's "The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror"

The Shining, Freddy Krueger, Friday the 13th... all the most important pop culture moments in the 20th century have been part of the special Halloween episodes of The Simpsons, which every year surprises the audience with a funny yet scary way to celebrate this holiday. But there was one missing and that was Stranger Things, so the popular Netflix series will finally be part of the cartoon, as it was confirmed by Fox.

Besides Stranger Things, The Simpsonswill also make a parody of The Shape of Water, the Academy-Award winning film by Guillermo del Toro. This episode was announced with a very special poster, including the phrase "Episode 666, as we planned from the beginning", as this will actually be the 666th episode (referring to the so-called "number of the beast"), and it promises to be one of the best episodes in the series. It looks like Lisa will play Eleven, Milhouse will be Will, and Bart will play Mike.
