Everybody hails “Slapsgiving,” from season three, as the best Thanksgiving special of the series, but in my opinion, though it’s really funny, it’s not the best. The very best one came three years later, and it's called “Blitzgiving.” In this episode, Ted is hosting his very first Thanksgiving dinner and decides to make a unique dish called the tur-tur-key-key (a turkey stuffed with a smaller turkey). To do so, he decides to leave early the day before, but he ends up missing all the amazing pre-Thanksgiving parties.
This Is Us
“Pilgrim Rick”
Season 1, Episode 8
We see the Pearsons in a flashback scene, going to Rebecca’s parents home for Thanksgiving. However, after a car accident, they have to stay at a motel, ruining the celebration, but creating a new family tradition along the way. In the present, we see the family trying to carry on with the tradition, while facing new issues and problems.

“Blair Waldorf Must Pie”
Season 1, Episode 9
It's one of the most shocking episodes of the season, and there is a lot going on. First, Dan decides to invite Serena and her family to Thanksgiving, which becomes a very awkward moment, since everybody ignores the complicated relationship between Rufus and Lily. It’s also quite a complicated Thanksgiving for Blair, who has to deal with the fact that her father isn’t coming for the holiday. It’s also one of the first times that the series hints at Blair’s bulimia; a really important episode in the series.

Modern Familyalways captures those intense and chaotic family moments we all experience at some point in our lives, and for that reason, it’s so funny and great (not to mention that Phil Dunphy is parenting goals!). In this episode, Phil is in charge of preparing dinner, which obviously isn’t going to be an easy task. This is really one of the funniest episodes of the series and a great one to laugh your butt off on Thanksgiving.

The title of the episode basically gives up what the entire episode is all about. However, when you think about it, there aren’t many surprising or far-fetched moments, which is why it’s such a relatable and timeless series. In this episode, Lorelai and Rory have four different Thanksgiving parties to attend, which makes things a bit chaotic for our favorite girls.

“Samantha’s Thanksgiving to Remember”

What about going to the "original" Thanksgiving dinner? That’s what you get when you spend the festivity with Samantha and Darren from Bewitched. After one of Aunt Clara’s classic messes, the Stephens end up traveling to the time of the Pilgrims. However, things get even messier when Darren is captured and accused of witchcraft. This is one of the best classic series that hasn’t aged at all… well, maybe a little bit, but it’s still really great.
