Twenty-time tennis Grand Slam champion Roger Federer announced on Wednesday that he will be missing the remainder of the 2020 season due to injury.

In a post on Twitter, the 38-year old Federer said that he is getting a procedure done on his right knee, and plans on taking as much time as he needs before returning to action, but expects to be back for the start of the 2021 season.

In 2016, Federer missed the remainder of the season with a similar injury, but in his left knee, where he did not play until the 2017 Australian Open, which he went on to win.
