Microsoft 'working hard' on next Xbox Series X event

Microsoft is "working hard" on the upcoming Xbox Series X event. In just a few week's time, the gaming giant is set to unveil a series of first-party titles for its next generation console, while there is also speculation they could reveal plans for the long-rumoured all-digital Xbox. Marketing director Aaron Greenberg gave an update on the July Xbox 20/20 event - which is yet to have a confirmed date - tweeting: "Team working hard on it. "Good content review today in fact with the big boss. We will share more details when all is locked. "Kindly ask for patience in the meantime." The first 20/20 show back in May focused on third party titles - including 'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' - but many fans were left disappointed with cinematic trailers rather than gameplay revelations. Indeed, Greenwood - who heads up the events - responded at the time and admitted the team set expectations too high. He wrote on Twitter: "Had we not said anything & just shown May Inside Xbox show like we did last month, I suspect reactions might have been different. "Clearly we set some wrong expectations & that's on us. "We appreciate all the feedback & can assure you we will take it all in & learn as a team."
