YouTube users using Safari are finally able to view videos in 4K.
Before the macOS Big Sur beta 4 update, Mac users had to open Google Chrome or another web browser to view videos in 4K instead of 720p or 1080p.
But that's all changed, as Apple has now provided support for Google's VP9 codec.
It comes after they added the support for the VP9 codec on iOS 14, tvOS 14.
What's more, Safari now supports WebP images and HDR videos, which means 4K HDR on Netflix.
Safari 14 won't be available for everyone until later this year, when iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and macOS Big Sur is officially launched.
Meanwhile, last week it was claimed that Apple's Mac laptops will reportedly get Face ID before the end of the year.
That's according to 9to6 Mac, who discovered a new operating system in macOS Big Sur beta code for the unlocking feature.
It first arrived on the 2017 iPhone X and, a year later, it came to the iPad.
But it looks set to become a feature on the Mac sometime in 2020 after they ditched Intel processors for Apple Silicon for some of their new laptops.
The site came across references to a 'PearlCamera', the code name given to the TrueDepth camera on the iPhone X and the iPad Pro.
Plus 'FaceDetect" and 'BioCapture'.
The report comes after the US Patent & Trademark Office published a document recently, which was filed by the tech giant in September.
The patent was titled 'Light Recognition Module for Determining a User of a Computing device'.
It goes on to explain that the FaceID system will use light modules to determine the face of the user.
As soon as the screen finds the face, light will be emitted and reflected back at them.
The drawings of the feature in the document shows a notch similar to those on the devices released since.
