Activision claims that 'Call of Duty: Mobile's success proves that 'Diablo Immortal' was a good idea.

When it was announced in 2018 that 'Diablo Immortal' was going to be a mobile game, Blizzard and Activision received a huge amount of backlash from fans.

However, despite the negative reaction, it seems that the team behind the title are still sure that making a mobile game was a good choice for the franchise.

According to PC Gamer, during a Q&A section of a recent quarterly financial call, Activision Blizzard CFO Dennis Durkin defended the decision, and argued that the success of 'Call Of Duty: Mobile' shows why it was a good decision.

He stated: "CoD Mobile is off to a really great start, but we're just scratching the surface of what that franchise can be on mobile, and then integrating the experiences across multiple platforms, we know is just an incredible opportunity for the franchise".

He also added that "the early successes [of Call of Duty: Mobile], they do represent incredible proof points as to your question of how the franchise strategy is really working. And it certainly applies to a lot of other franchises that we have."
