Spend The Night At The World's Last Blockbuster For $4

The world’s last Blockbuster, located in Bend, Oregon, is celebrating the store’s twentieth anniversary by opening up their location as an Airbnb, where anyone who is in the area and wants to “make it a Blockbuster night,” can book the store for only $4 for a night of movies, popcorn, and nostalgia.

"With everybody being stuck at home and re-experiencing family time together, we thought it would be fun to enjoy some family time in a throwback '90s environment," said Sandi Harding, the store’s manager since 2004.

Of course, the Covid-19 pandemic complicated Harding’s plans to open up the store for overnight stays, but she and her team have already worked it out, and the store will be available for Airbnb guests for three separate one-night stays, from September 18 to the 20th. Bookings will start on August 17th.

In keeping with CDC regulations and guidelines, the store will be open for a maximum of four guests per night in what they are calling the "End of Summer Sleepover at The Last Blockbuster." It will be set up with a sofa bed, “chunky” TV, VCR, free snacks, and the freedom to choose any movie in the store.
