Epic Games is suing Google and Apple!

The mobile version of the game Fortnite was recently removed from the App Store and the Google Play Store: the video game company recently introduced the 'Epic direct payment' option, which involves gamers getting reduced prices when buying V-bucks directly from Epic Games rather than through Apple or Google, meaning that the two tech-giants don't get a share of the purchases.

However, Apple and Google have claimed that this is against their terms and conditions, and have removed the game from their online stores.

According to CNET, Epic has filed a lawsuit against Apple and has also filed one against Google.

The suit against Google states: "Epic does not seek 'monetary compensation' from this Court for the injuries it has suffered. Epic likewise does not seek a side deal or favorable treatment from Google for itself. Instead, Epic seeks injunctive relief that would deliver Google's broken promise: an open, competitive Android ecosystem for all users and industry participants. Such injunctive relief is sorely needed."
