Microsoft offers first look at new Xbox Series X dashboard

Microsoft has offered the first peek at the new Xbox Series X dashboard.

The gaming giant has unveiled the newly-titled Xbox Experience, which looks similar to its predecessor but has certain enhancements to make things faster and much user friendly.

Under the upcoming system, Microsoft is bringing together all the platforms where gamers can engage with Xbox.

This should make it easier to do everything from either your console, PC or smartphone, instead of each feeling like a totally separate ecosystem.

The dashboard itself will also be faster on the next generation console, although that isn't soley down to the hardware.

Microsoft has said loading the dashboard from startup is 50% faster than it currently is, and navigating back to the home page from a game will be "almost 30%" quicker.

Meanwhile, the design language has been altered to higlight the three most used aspects - Home, Guide and Store - to access them with fewer button presses.

The new Xbox Experience will also be available on Xbox One consoles by the end of the year, allowing current generation gamers to test run the changes before switching hardware.
