'Black Panther' Star Chadwick Boseman Dead At 43

One of Hollywood’s most beloved actors in recent years has left us too soon. The actor famous for playing Black Panther, the Marvel superhero, died at the age of 43 from colon cancer. His family published a post where they confirmed the actor’s tragic passing. Chadwick was diagnosed in 2016, and his cancer advanced to stage 4 in the last couple of years.

The South Carolina-born actor was had signed on for Black Panther, scheduled to premiere in 2022. In his movies, he also played African American icons like Jackie Robinson and James Brown.

According to his publicist, Nicki Fioravante, Boseman passed away in his home in Los Angeles, with his wife and family by his side. In a statement posted on the actor’s social media, his family thanked his fans for their love and prayers.

Boseman’s passing occurred on “Jackie Robinson Day,” a holiday that celebrates the historic baseball player played by Boseman in the movie “42.”
