Members Of Congress Call For Resignation Of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy

Ahead of Congress’ formal investigation of U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, many members of Congress have taken to Twitter this week to call for his resignation. 

These calls come after weeks of accusations that DeJoy has been meddling in the election by making postal service cuts, engaging in illegal straw donor plots and lying to Congress.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Washington) lashed out at DeJoy, saying, “it isn’t just me who wants him gone: it’s the American people.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York) accused DeJoy of blocking key documents from being obtained by Congress, including a personal calendar.
