‘Final Fantasy XIV’ will be playable on the PS5!

The title was first released in 2010, but it turns out that gamers will be able to play it on Sony’s next-gen console when it’s released in November.

Sony won’t be making a PS5 version of the game: players only need the PS4 version of the title to play it on the soon-to-be-released console.

This is due to backwards compatibility, and the PlayStation 5’s hardware reportedly means that the load times will be shorter than they currently are when the game is played on the PS4 console.

Despite initially being released back in 2010, the game still has a big fanbase as it regularly gets new updates and expansions, and it was recently announced that the next patch for the game will go live in December.
