Wilmer Valderrama checked in on Demi Lovato after recent split from her fiancé Max Ehrich

Wilmer Valderrama checked in on Demi Lovato after her split with her fiancé.

Demi, 28, recently ended her whirlwind romance with 'The Young and The Restless' actor Max Ehrich, 29, and she has surrounded herself with trusted pals, including her ex Wilmer.

A source told America's OK! magazine: "Demi has been surrounding herself with trusted friends, including Wilmer Valderrama, who checked in to see if she's OK."

Speaking earlier this year, Demi revealed that she and Wilmer, 40, were still on good terms following their 2016 split but that they rarely spoke.

Following the news of his engagement to model Amanda Pacheco, she said: "I'm really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we're not in each other's lives, haven't spoken in a long time. But I think I needed that because I needed to learn to be okay on my own. When you get into a relationship with somebody at that young of an age and then you spend six years with somebody, you don't really get to learn about yourself."

Meanwhile, Demi is reportedly desperate to put the relationship with Max behind her, even though he has been "begging to work things out".

The insider explained: "Max has been leaving messages and texting, asking her to take him back.

“Still, there's nothing he can do or say to change her mind. Max is begging to work things out, but Lovato just wants to put this bad romance behind her.

"She's focusing on herself and healing. Lovato is embarrassed by the way things have gone down, but she'll get through this."
