The PC market has experienced its highest growth in a decade.
Globally, the market grew by 13 per cent in the third quarter of 2020 compared with the previous year, with 79.2 million units sold, as per tech analyst firm Canalys.
Notebook shipments reached 64 million units as many were forced to work from home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Laptop and mobile shipments grew by 28.3%, but desktops saw a 26% decline in shipments.
Lenovo came out on top with 11.4% growth and shipments of over 19 million in the third quarter.
HP grew by 11.9% and shifted 18.7 million units, Dell saw a 0.5% drop in shipments, while Apple and Acer grew by 13.2% and 15%, respectively.
