Apple has ditched chargers with the iPhone 12

Apple has ditched chargers with the iPhone 12 in a bid to help the environment.

The tech giant unveiled their new 5G handset this week and revealed for the first time since 2007, they have decided to sell the wall chargers and wired Earpods separately to reduce carbon emissions.

Apple's Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives at Apple, Lisa Jackson, explained that there are 700 million pairs of Earpods and two billion Apple power adapters being used around the globe.

The move comes after Apple promised to become fully carbon-neutral by 2030.
