Respawn Entertainment could ‘expand beyond battle royale’ with Apex Legends

The battle-royale game has been a hit with gamers, but Respawn Entertainment has hinted that they could be making some major changes to the game at some point in the future.

Apex Legends' game director Chad Grenier told Eurogamer: “We have a lot of conversations of, you know, should we expand beyond battle royale? We have this roster of legends that people love – how else can we use them?”

Grenier also teased that players are “probably going to see the game becoming more than just a battle royale game.”
