At 36, Dustin Johnson has finally won his first Master’s tournament on Sunday.

The golf star has established a nice resume of accomplishments in his career. He has built his case of becoming one of the greatest golfers in history. Johnson now has 27 professional wins in his career with Sunday’s win. However, he also secured his 24th PGA title win, and his first Master’s tournament win. Johnson is the first golfer besides Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus to win a PGA Tour title in each of his first 13 seasons.

Despite these accomplishments, a Master’s tournament win is something that has longe eluded him. Johnson has ended coming up short in each of his Master’s appearance. Only from his Master’s appearance in 2015, 2016 and 2018 was he able to finish in the top 10 but did not win. However, this time he was able to win his first Master’s tournament on Sunday and earn himself his green jacket.

In his historic Master’s win, he was able to finish at a -20 in Sunday’s win at the Augusta National Golf Course. The score became the lowest score to par in Master’s history and tied the mark for lowest score to par in a major championship win. Johnson’s margin of a win by five strokes became the most since Wood’s 1997 Master’s win by 12 strokes.

Johnson has become someone to root for as his determination to win. He has now earned his 14th straight title win in each of his 14 years. He now has a second major title win with this Master’s tournament win.
