Barack Obama has a casting suggestion for who should portray him in a movie about his life –  Drake.

During an episode of 360, the former president of the United States was asked about the possibility of a future biopic and his thoughts on who he would want to play him.

“I will say this: Drake seems to be able to do anything he wants. I mean, that is a talented, talented brother. So, if the time comes and he’s ready, you know,” he said.

Obama is a big fan of Drake. He listed “Too Good” as his number one song on his 2019 summer playlist.

Obama said that the Canadian rapper has the “stamp of approval” from his family. “I suspect Malia and Sasha would be fine with it,” he said.

Videos have even been made of the former president “singing” Drake’s song “Hotline Bling” by using sound bites spliced from his speeches and mashed up into the song lyrics.

The rapper has previously stated that he would love to be cast to play Obama if a project were to come up.

In 2010, Drake said that he watches Obama so religiously that he felt he was already prepared to accurately portray him in a movie.

Obama has previously been played by Devon Terrell in the Barry, Parker Sawyers in Southside With You and Kingsley Ben-Adir in the mini-series, The Comey Rule.
