Blizzard promises ‘Diablo Immortal’s content updates will ‘always’ be free

The title’s lead designer Wyatt Cheng recently explained in an update video that the mobile game will be is going into limited technical alpha, where a “small number of players, primarily in Australia, will briefly have access to test the game”, and he explained that the propose of the alpha testing will “help us look at our early levelling experience, as well as our midgame systems."

Cheng went on to state that the game’s “entire main quest storyline and all future content updates are always going to be free”, and insisted that Blizzard “are not gonna limit your game time with an energy system and new classes will be accessible to everybody, without requiring an in-game purchase. Diablo Immortal will be free-to-play, with optional in-game purchases available."

‘Diablo Immortal’’s storyline is set between ‘Diablo 1’ and ‘Diablo 2’, a release date for the title hasn’t been announced as of yet but when it does come out it will be available on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
