Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag design leak

The Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag design has been revealed early in the SmartThings app.

The company's smart home app for Android has referenced a Smart Tag buried inside the code, which looks ready for launch whenever the official launch happens to be.

As reported by 91mobiles, the tag "will help you keep track of objects like wallets, keys, earbuds, and more".

While there are no real surprises regarding the functionality, the actual look of the Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag is also largely as expected.

The display will include a small square device with either a button or light - or both - in the middle, as well as a small hole to attach to a keyring or lanyard.

It seems similar to Tile, which makes a variety of trackers to be attached to possessions and located via Bluetooth.

In a smart move, the Tile network can still look for your item if the object is out of Bluetooth range buy - anonymously and securely - looking for it through phones and devices of other Tile users.

The Galaxy tags look to be set to work in a similar way, and integrated through the smart home and "find my gadget" apps already developed by Samsung.
