Honda unveil 'car mask'

Honda have unveiled a "car mask" to protect you against viruses and bacteria.

The car company have created Kurumaku, which literally translates as "car mask". It can be put over existing air filters in the company's N-Box Kei microcar and will catch and filter viruses and bacteria from the air using a special zinc phosphate conversion system.

The Kurumaku filter says it is able to remove 99.8 percent of droplets from a virus within 15 minutes of the car's air recirculation system being turned on, increasing to 99.9 percent after 24 hours.

The filter lasts approximately one year, or roughly around 9,300 miles.
