Vanessa Morgan gives birth to a baby boy

Vanessa Morgan has given birth to a baby boy.

The 28-year-old actress - who plays Toni Topaz in the teen drama series 'Riverdale' - recently gave birth to her first child and her estranged husband, Michael Kopech, was alongside her.

A source told E! News: "Vanessa had the baby, and Michael is with her as well. They're both thrilled."

At the moment, Vanessa - who married Michael in January last year, before the baseball player filed for divorce in June - is remaining tight-lipped about her baby boy.

The celebrity duo have also remained silent about their split, although a rep for Michael has confirmed he's the father of the newborn.

Vanessa previously revealed via an Instagram post that she was set to start her maternity leave.

The actress wrote on the photo-sharing platform: "Feeling grateful to my showrunner & producers for being so accommodating & writing my pregnancy into the show! Also proud of my body for allowing me to still work almost 9 months preggo. Now time to have a baby! lol (sic)"

Vanessa also announced her pregnancy news via Instagram, revealing she was expecting her first child several months after tying the knot.

She said back in July: "Was debating keeping this part of my life hidden but I knew people would see pictures eventually with my belly & I wanted you guys to hear it from me. I do want to keep this chapter of my life private but did want to be the first to share the news.

"I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January. It's almost like everything I thought mattered in this life has completely changed…We're here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious. (sic)"
