Ashley James has 'first wobble' since giving birth

Ashley James has had her "first wobble" since giving birth.

The DJ and television personality - who recently welcomed her first child into the world with partner Tom Andrews - admitted she had a tough day over the weekend and "needed a good cry".

She wrote: "Yesterday I had my first wobble since Alf was born. It probably sounds petty (or maybe you relate?), but it was raining all day and so we couldn't go for our daily walk. Getting out the house for a walk is my only reason for leaving the house at the moment, and so the rain taking that away from me hit me way more than it should have. Then I spoke to my mum and just the thought that they can't meet Alf until lockdown ends, just got me. My gran too. They missed my pregnancy, and now they're missing the newborn phase. It's just a bit sad. I think my hormones kicked in, and I just needed a good cry. These are definitely weird times, although I do feel like there's some great pros about giving birth in lockdown (sic)"

However, the sun soon filled the sky and Ashley admitted it lifted her mood.

She added in the lengthy post: "It was FREEZING, but just to see blue sky was so wonderful. It's definitely the little things at the moment ... I feel good, and ready to get back into work this week. I've loved spending the last few weeks more or less offline, I needed a break ... I'm so excited to share my motherhood journey so far - I feel like I've learnt SO much! Both about myself and as a new mummy. (sic)"
