Tony Hawk may be 52 years old, but he is showing that he still has the skateboarding skills.

In a recent video posted to Twitter, Hawk pulled off a successful 720 on a skateboard. The 52-year-old wrote about the feat saying, “I recently made a 720 and it was a battle.” In that same tweet, the legendary skateboarder wrote about how difficult it was to pull off the maneuver.

“The last one I made before this was over three years ago, and it’s much harder now all things considered: recently dislocated fingers hinder my grab, my spin is slower, so I need to go higher for full rotation,” Hawk explained about the difficulties he’s having.

With all that said, the Hawk will auction the skateboard used in the video to raise money for public skateparks.

Hawk has long been the poster boy for skateboarding as a sport. He became the first skateboarder to pull off a 900 in the X-games in 1999. Hawk is often considered one of the greatest skateboarders of all time. He even has a popular  video game series based on him titled Tony Hawks’ Pro Skater.
