Kevin Durant Leads All-Star Votes, LeBron James Trailing

As the NBA All-Star voting continues, a recent Thursday update is showing that Kevin Durant is leading the fan votes.

The Brooklyn Nets star is currently leading all players with 2,302,705 votes. Barely trailing Durant is LeBron James, who has 2,288,676 votes and leads the Western Conference.

Golden State Warriors points guard Stephen Curry is in third place with 2.11 million. Curry is the third and last player to have over 2 million votes. He is currently leading all Western Conference guards. Trailing Curry is Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic with 1.39 million and Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard with 998,853 votes. 

James leads the Western Conference frontcourt by over 800,000 votes. Nikola Jokić is behind James with 1.47 million votes. Ranking third among frountcourt players is Kawhi Leonard. Leonard has 1.28 million votes. Anthony Davis is not that far behind Leonard as he has 1.19 million votes.

Among Eastern Conference guards, Washington’s Bradley Beal leads with 1.2 million. Kyrie Irving is close in second with 1.09 million votes. Not far behind Irving is his teammate James Harden with 1.01 million votes.

Among forwards and centers in the East, Giannis Antetokounmpo is in second place, behind Durant with 1.75 million votes. Joel Embiid is next with 1.58 million votes.

NBA voting started on January 28. If you would like to vote, click here. Voting will end on February 16 and the All-Stars will be determined by fan voting (50%), media (25%), and player voting (25%). The All-Star starters will be announced on February 18. Reserves will be announced on February 23.
