The former LCK caster Nick “LS” Cesare will be a guest at the LEC analyst desk for the upcoming week of the 2021 LEC Spring Split.
The popular T1 content creator will be joining the analyst desk for the LEC weekend on a remote basis from his home in South Korea. The former caster has been actively viewing the LEC this season and will likely be able to contribute a lot to the analyst desk.
LS’ upcoming appearance on the LEC broadcast will be his first time, but it might not be his last. LS spent the past year casting the LCK but hasn’t been on an official broadcast since the last season ended. His last cast was during the 2020 World Championship, where he was casting with his former co-caster Max “Atlus” Anderson. The duo’s last appearance together was the quarterfinal between DWG KIA and DRX.
Since then, LS has been busy as both a content creator and as a streamer. He has gotten a lot of recognition for his live viewing of the LEC and co-streaming of the LCS. Pulling over 10,000 concurrent viewers on a regular basis makes LS' one of the biggest community streams. Together with former Fnatic mid laner Tim “Nemesis" Lipovšek and Vitality’s new bot laner Juš “Crownshot” Marušič, the trio haven’t just been good entertainers on the co-streams, they've also provided insightful analysis to the viewers tuning in.
On the official broadcast, it’s expected that LS will bring the same opinions about the teams and games but may tone it down a bit. As an analyst, LS is known for his very strong opinions about the game, especially itemization and drafts.
LS will be on the LEC analyst desk starting beginning Friday, February 12.
Is LS a T1 coach?
LS isn’t a coach for T1, but is instead a streamer and content creator. LS was considered for a coaching position at T1 for the 2021 season but ended up prioritizing content creation instead. According to LS, he had a “litmus test” with Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok to join as a coach as the final step in that process before it was decided he would not be coaching.
What does LS stand for?
LS stands for LastShadow, which was his gaming alias during his days on the StarCraft professional scene. In the League of Legends scene, he is mainly just known by the abbreviation LS.
