CD Projekt Red changing structure to focus on multiple AAA titles at once

CD Projekt Red is reorganising its structure to develop multiple AAA projects at the same time.

The developer behind 'Cyberpunk 2077' has opened up on its new "strategic development framework" as the firm looks to "continuously improve" both the way it makes its titles and the conditions staff are working under.

In a corporate update video, boss Adam Kicinski said: "We want to improve the way we make games.

"We want to continuously improve the working environment for every team member. We want a sharper focus on how we work together to make great games."

Cross-functional teams will work on both the 'Cyberpunk' and 'The Witcher' franchises at the same time, with the plan set to start next year.

The company will also look to grow its teams and work with outsourcing studios.

Executive Michal Noawakowski added: "We have learned many things from our marketing and PR campaigns for 'Cyberpunk 2077' and see things that need to change in the future.

"Going forward, future marketing campaigns will be much shorter, we'll wait until much closer to a game's launch before we start showing things like trailers, demos or going in-depth about mechanics, etc."
