Mark the date on the calendar, the 2021 NBA Draft will be held on July 29 at 8 p.m. ET. As for the draft being televised, ESPN and ABC will televise the first round. The second round will be televised by ESPN.

ESPN will air the highly anticipated NBA draft lottery on June 22 at  8:30 p.m. ET. The draft lottery is where fans and teams will find out which pick they will get in the draft. Obviously, fans will want their team to get the number one pick or at least in the top 10.

The Draft combine will be held from June 21 to June 27 and will be televised on ESPN Networks. The combine is where prospects showcase their skills and do interviews with interested teams for the draft. The draft combine will include coverages about five-on-five games, strength and agility testing.

The deadline for early entry players to apply for the draft is on May 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The deadline for early entry players to withdraw from the draft is July 19 at 5 p.m. ET.

Last year’s NBA Draft and combine was held virtually because of the pandemic. However, the draft lottery order was held in person by NBA deputy commissioner Mark Tatum from the league’s offices in New Jersey.

There is still no confirmation if the 2021 NBA Draft events will be in person or virtual. Other leagues like the NFL have announced that its upcoming draft will be held in person but with guidelines and restrictions. The NFL will allow limited fans into their draft.

It is unknown if the NBA will follow a similar model to its football counterpart or not. More information will be reported in the future.
