)## 2021 MSI – Format
Eleven teams from around the world will compete in 3 Stages during the 2021 MSI in Reykjavík:
– Group Stage
– Rumble Stage
– Knockout stage

Group Stage: the eleven teams have been divided into two groups of 4 and one group of 3, that is because the qualifying team from VietnamGAM “EsportsGAM” Esports will unfortunately not be able to participate due to national travel restrictions related to COVID-19.
The two groups composed of 4 teams will battle against each other in a Best of one Double Round Robin, while the group of three teams will face each other in a Best of one Quadruple Round Robin.
Rumble Stage: the top two teams of each group will advance to the next stage where they will battle in a Best of one Double Round Robin.
Knockout Stage: The top four teams of the previous stage will face off in a Best of five series to determine who is the best team this year so far!

This MSI will be the testing ground to see who could be a viable contender to lift the 2021 Worlds Trophy. The epic battle between the historic teams and the new contenders for League of Legends’ most prestigious title will begin next week!
