CoD: Huke Joins LA Thieves From Dallas Empire

The first transfer of the season has happened, seeing Huke move from the Empire to the Thieves.

Since the introduction of the franchise model, the Call of Duty League rarely sees transfers between teams. However, today we see just that, with the LA Thieves bringing over Huke from Dallas Empire.

From Dallas to LA

Dallas Empire shocked the community when they announced the benching of Cuyler “Huke” Garland. This move saw one of the best players in the game no longer competing, and left many fans bemused. Well, the LA Thieves wasted no time, singing Huke in just 11 days after his move to a substitute.

Huke will replace Thomas “TJHaly” Haly on the Thieves, and leave Kenny as the only remaining player from the first match of the season. While the move to bench TJHaly confused many too, this transfer will, without doubt, improve the Thieves, who were already looking extremely scary without Huke.

As we move into the Stage 3 Major and imminent return of LAN, we look forward to seeing Huke competing again and possibly playing his old team on LAN. However, we’re sure there will be no bad blood between them, with Huke spending much of the last six years with the Envy team.

Huke and the Thieves return to action on Saturday, May 8 where they take on the New York Subliners.
