Danielle Lloyd hasn't ruled out gender selection for sixth child

Danielle Lloyd will look into gender selection for her sixth child if she finds out she’s expecting another boy.

The 37-year-old model - who has Archie, 10, Harry, nine, and George, seven, from her relationship with Jamie O’Hara, and Ronnie, three, with husband Michael O’Neill – has just announced she’s pregnant again and due in November and admitted she’ll spend the summer researching her “options” if she isn’t carrying a longed-for daughter.

She said: “We have a holiday booked for August, to Dubai where we originally were going to check out some options.

“We’ll know by then what sex the baby is – so if it’s a boy, we might have a look into the options anyway.

“Michael would definitely have another – he’s already saying we’ll go again.

“I just want to concentrate on this baby first.”

Gender selection is illegal in the UK and coronavirus restrictions meant Danielle and Michael couldn’t travel to undergo the process, so instead the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star researched other methods to boost her chances of conceiving a girl, including a “strict rota” for sex.

Speaking to the new issue of Closer magazine, she explained: “I stumbled across this book called ‘The Babydust Method’.

“It tells you all the best ways to naturally get pregnant with a girl – you have to track your ovulation, which I did via an app, and have sex the day before you ovulate, as apparently female sperm live longer than male sperm. I had Michael on a strict rota – when it came to the day before I was ovulating, I’d jump on him!”

Danielle is hopeful she is having a girl because her pregnancy feels different to when she was carrying her sons.

She said: “I haven’t felt sick at all. With the boys, I felt really ill in the beginning. I’m just tired, but other than that I feel totally fine.

“I haven’t had many unhealthy cravings, like I did with the boys – fizzy drinks are the only thing I’ve been wanting.”
