The Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Chapter 2 - Season 6 Finals are nearly upon us. Trios across the globe have worked hard for two months to reach this point, where they will embark on a grueling journey with a common goal in mind; to earn a share of $3M USD and the ultra-rare Axe of Champions. Today, ESTNN will break down all of the important details ahead of the FNCS Season 6 Finals. Join us as teams prepare for the pinnacle Fortnite tournament of the season.
How did we get here?
Three weekly qualifiers, the semi-finals and Reboot Round set the stage for an exciting finish. Teams began their journey back in the qualifiers, needing a top-three finish after four challenging rounds to advance directly to the Season 6 Finals. The exact process repeated over the next two qualifiers.
For those who didn’t place in the top-three, consistency-based Series Points became more critical. Only the top 99 teams based on accumulated points could secure a seat in the Semi-Finals.
The Season 6 Semi-Finals split those 99 teams into three heats, each with 33. Trios dueled across six matches with hopes of achieving a top-six finish, thus advancing them to the Season 6 Finals. Trios, who fell short of that placement and finished between 7th and 17th, had one last chance to qualify via the Reboot Round.
Victory Royales then became the focal point. After the Semi-Finals dust settled, 33 teams in Fortnite’s seven server regions remained. Let’s take a look at the format for the FNCS Season 6 Finals.
Season 6 Finals Format
- 33 trios per region
- Two days of competition
- 12 custom matches total
- Six games each day
- Teams earn points based on placement and eliminations
How to Watch
Fortnite’s official YouTube and Twitch channels will handle the bulk of the FNCS Season 6 Finals broadcast. Those streams will cover Europe, NA East, Brazil and NA West. Several reputable names from within the scene, including MonsterDface, AussieAntics, HelloKellyLink, ClayStehling, SUND0WN, ShyoWager, Reisshub, Vivid and AdamSavage will handle the casting and analyst duties while ZekimusPrime plays host.
