President Joe Biden Thursday mocked Republicans for promoting the American Rescue Plan that they voted against during his visit to Cleveland. No Republican Congress member voted for the rescue package when it passed in March.

“My Republican friends in Congress — not a single one of them voted for the rescue plan. I’m not going to embarrass any one of them, but I have here a list about how back in their districts, they’re bragging about the rescue plan,” Biden said. “I mean, some people have no shame. But I’m happy they know that it benefited their constituents.”

Biden did not specify the names of the Republicans. He was holding up a copy of the list during his speech which he did not read it aloud but had 13 names on it that were captured by cameras. The names included House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-California), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-New York), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-North Carolina) and Rep. Greg Pence (R-Indiana).

“If you’re going to try to take credit for what you’ve done, don’t get in the way of what we still need to do,” he said while holding up a copy with the names of 13 Republicans. “Not a single one of them voted for the rescue plan.”
