Overwatch League: June Joust Tournament Schedule, Teams, Heroes, and Prize Pool

The June Joust Tournament will see four teams battle to win the second Overwatch League 2021 monthly competition.


After a month of competition, four teams qualified for the June Joust Tournament Final Bracket. Surprisingly, the back-to-back reigning Overwatch League Champions didn’t make it to this bracket. The June Joust Tournament Finals will happen over two days. The first matches are scheduled for Thursday, June 10, while the Finals will be held on Saturday, June 12.

June Joust Tournament Finalists

The four teams qualified for the June Joust Tournament Final Bracket are New York Excelsior, Atlanta Reign, Dallas Fuel, and Shanghai Dragons.

The first match of the June Joust Tournament Final Bracket opposes New York Excelsior to Atlanta Reign. New York Excelsior won 3 games during the June Joust, only bowing to Guangzhou Charge and Seoul Dynasty. Atlanta Reign created the surprise of this June Joust tournament by defeating the Overwatch League reigning champions of San Francisco Shock with a whopping 3-0.

Seeing Dallas Fuel and Shanghai Dragons in the final bracket of this tournament is no surprise. The teams placed respectively 1st and 2nd in the May Melee tournament, winning against the Florida Mayhem and Chengdu Hunters. This first match of the June Joust Tournament Final Bracket should be interesting, as it will define which team is the best between the Eastern and Western regions.

June Joust Tournament Prize Pool

The winning team of the June Joust Tournament received $100,000. The vice-champions get $70,000 while the 3rd and 4th teams respectively win $35,000 and $20,000.

June Joust Tournament Widowmaker 1v1

The Widowmaker 1v1 tournament is back with the June Joust! This competition sees the best sniper of the Overwatch League face off head-to-head with the most iconic sniper of the game, Widowmaker.

The Widowmaker 1v1 will take place on Saturday, June 12, at 5 pm PT. Players from the four qualifying teams will face off to be crowned the best sniper of June Joust.

June Joust Pick’Em

If you already have a feeling on who will win the June Joust Tournament, you can place your predictions in the Overwatch League Pick’Em. Each correct prediction scores points that eventually turn into League Tokens. Those tokens are the in-game currency needed to buy special Overwatch League skins from your favorite team.

In order to play and hopefully win some League Tokens, you will need to log in to the official Overwatch League Pick’Em website with your Battle.Net account. Once logged in, you can make your predictions for each game of the June Joust Final Bracket, up to the Finals.

The Pick’Em for the June Joust Final Bracket locks on Thursday, June 10, at approximately 6 pm PT, just before the first match begins.

June Joust Hero & Map Pool

Four heroes are out of rotation for the June Joust Tournament: Tracer, Sombra, Reinhardt, and Zenyatta. These heroes were banned during the qualifiers and remain unavailable for the final bracket.

Just as for the hero pool, the map pool remains the same for both qualifiers and tournament matches.

The map pool for the June Joust tournament cycle includes the following maps:

  • Control: Busan, Ilios, Lijiang Tower, Nepal, Oasis
  • Escort: Dorado, Junkertown, Rialto
  • Assault: Hanamura, Temple of Anubis, Volskaya Industries
  • Hybrid: Eichenwalde, Hollywood, Numbani

How to watch the June Joust Tournament Final Bracket

Each match from the June Joust is broadcasted live on the Overwatch League official website and YouTube channel.

As the June Joust tournament matches happen later than usual for East Coast and European viewers, the Overwatch League will hold Encore broadcasts the day following each live match. These Encore broadcasts will begin at 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET / 4:30 pm GMT, a day after the original match.

Encore broadcasts count toward viewership rewards, just like any Overwatch League match. After 4 hours watched, viewers can earn the Overwatch League Mercy skins and special tournament spray.
