CoD: New York Subliners Possibly Missing Asim for Major 4

NYSL may be without their star SMG for Major 4.

The Call of Duty League returns to LAN next weekend with the 4th Major of the year. With fans and players both extremely excited to get back to LAN, it can't come soon enough for many. However, for the New York Subliners, they may be wishing LAN wasn’t returning so soon.

On June 2, Clayster revealed that Asim had been denied entry to the US due to not having his Visa.

Asim was on his way to Texas to join the rest of the Subliners ahead of the Major, but was unfortunately stopped in his tracks. While NYSL and Asim were hopeful for his situation, the most recent update sees Clayster looking for a stand-in player for the Major.

NYSL: LF1

Following their 3-0 defeat to Toronto Ultra on June 13, Asim said, “Still not sure if I’ll be able to make the Major, should have an update these next couple of days.” Clayster responded to this saying, “Yeah… lf2 sub lmk.”

He followed up to this by asking Twitter for a “hungry and nasty” sub that wants to potentially play for NYSL at the Major.

This is a tough situation for the Subliners to be in. If Asim is unable to make the Major, they’ll need to find a player to sign a 14-day contract for this event. With many top amateur players not wanting to risk their spot on their amateur teams, this could be difficult. We hope that Asim can find his way into the US ahead of the Major on June 17. However, at the moment, it doesn't look great.
