Microsoft Teams updating notifications

Microsoft Teams is updating its notifications.

The tech company's video call software is set to make it easier for users to spot alerts for chats and calls by giving their notifications a whole new look by July 2021.

A statement about the upcoming update says Teams notification style will be defaulted to native notifications for new users so they can "benefit from support for assist mode, action centre, accessibility and more".

Meanwhile, Teams recently had an issue, with Google having to fix a bug after some people reported an odd pop-up prompting them to “select a certificate” for us-prod.asyncgw.teams.microsoft.com, and then log into the software.

Users weren't too sure what the message meant or which option to select, and the tech giant has since addressed the problem.

The team tweeted: "We're aware of an issue where users in North America may receive a 'select a certificate' prompt within Microsoft Teams."

They later added: "We reverted a recent update that caused this issue and have validated that service has been restored."
