The veteran team traditionally saw its fame from its CS:GO team and the vast accomplishments made there. Adding to its powerful rosters, NaVi is finally here with a VALORANT esports roster to compete in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT). Unfortunately, the announcement only starts with one player and the rest of the team is open. According to NaVi, they plan to try out other candidates and encourage top players to apply in the next 1-2 months. Vladislav “TheVs” Moroz will act as the team manager.

“VALORANT has developed greatly in the world since its launch,” Aleksey “xaoc” Kucherov, COO of NAVI, said. “Although the discipline is still at an early stage in the CIS, things are looking promising. Therefore we want to develop the game in our region. Our goal is to bring as many top-ranked players to the world championships as possible.

Cloud in the VCT

The experienced esports org looks to grow the competitive community with its new team. And it all starts with 17-year-old Kirill “Cloud” Nekhozhin. One of the best players from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region kicks off NaVi’s VALORANT esports team. In fact, Cloud won VCT 2021: CIS Challengers twice before, earning about $5 thousand from prizing to date. So far, his biggest achievement comes from VCT 2021: CIS Stage 1 Masters where he finished 3-4th place.

“I’m honored to be a part of NAVI and incredibly happy to get this chance,” Cloud stated. “I’m willing to work even harder now. I know that many fans are rooting with all their hearts and I would like to give something back! I have been given the opportunity to prove that I am a VALORANT player for a reason. I will do my absolute best.

VALORANT’s esports scene is rife with action and NaVi’s entrance with a CIS team will help both the region and the community. The fight for VCT Masters 3 Berlin starts soon and a new entry may shine at the event. Fans will want to stay tuned to see what NaVi and Cloud accomplish.
