Nathalie Emmanuel says the pandemic 'has created a before and after'

Nathalie Emmanuel thinks the coronavirus pandemic has created a "before-and-after feeling".

The 32-year-old actress - who played Missandei in the HBO fantasy series 'Game of Thrones' - admits that the ongoing health crisis has changed how she looks at life.

She explained: "There’s definitely a before-and-after feeling about life now."

Nathalie can't wait to return to doing normal things with her friends and family, once the pandemic has eased.

However, she initially intends to keep things small and low-key.

She told the new issue of Women's Health magazine: "I want to sit around tables with friends and family enjoying food and sunshine together."

Nathalie also revealed that her own approach to health and fitness changed at the start of the coronavirus lockdown.

She recalled: "There’s always a couple of weeks when I’m like, ‘Wait, I need to find things to do.’ Then eventually I relax, surrender into it. Also, your body lets you know it’s time to stop.

"That’s what happened to me. I got a bit under the weather. My body went, ‘You’ve earned a rest, so if you’re not going to do it, I’m going to make you!’"

By contrast, Nathalie previously described yoga as a "non-negotiable" part of her life.

The actress admitted that it helped to reduce her stress levels, and so she would always make time for it.

She shared: "Yoga is a non-negotiable part of my week, wherever I am. It’s really important for my overall wellbeing; physical, emotional and mental.

"There’s a reason why they call it 'moving meditation'. It’s really good for my stress levels, particularly when my schedule is super busy and I’m travelling, so I take my yoga mat in my suitcase wherever I go."
