The first World Series of Warzone champs have been named!
Last night Acitvison and Call of Duty held their first World Series of Warzone event. This saw 150 of the best players in the world go head to head across six private matches with $300K up for grabs. Aydan, Rated & HusKerrs won the squad battle, while Team Swagg took home the Captains Cup.
Top Squad - Aydan, Rated & HusKerrs
The classic trio of Aydan, Rated and HusKerrs were ready to make their mark in the World Series. They started off the tournament well, leading the standings after games one and two. However, three, four and five were tough matches for the squad. 14 points down heading into the last match saw many fans count them out of a win. But just when it was needed, they had the game of the tournament. A 24-kill 14th place match saw them achieve 36 points, and win the first World Series event by a staggering 13 points.
Captains Cup - Team Swagg
Swagg’s team took home some extra cash after winning the Captains Cup. Swagg had four of his teams in the Top 10; more than any other captain as he took home the win. Massive performances from teams such as Repullze, IcemanIsaac and ShadedStep brought the win to Swagg, and saw him crowned as the first winner of the World Series of Warzone Captains Cup.
The next WSOW event will take place on August 3 and 4, where we do it all again, but in Europe.
