Team Liquid's coaching staff is undergoing a change.
Joshua "Jatt' Leesman is a familiar face in the LCS scene. He was a caster in the league for years, spent some time as a game designer, then signed with Team Liquid as their Head Coach. Here, his time was filled with a decent amount of success. But his time with TL has come to a close.

Today, Team Liquid announced that Jatt has chosen to resign from his position. As a result, Jonas "Kold" Andersen will take over the spot. This is somewhat a surprising move, as from what fans could see, he was a very positive force for the team. He joined them after an awful 2020 Spring Split and helped them have an excellent Summer. They attended Worlds together, won the first-ever LCS Lock-in tournament and found success against all of the top teams in NA.
However, recent happenings may show division in the TL camp. Star top lane Barney "Alphari" Morris was benched in favor of Thomas "Jenkins" Tran. Seeing as Alphari is considered the best player on the roster, this move was confusing for many. Because of this, rumors and theories flew around wildly. But there was no telling exactly why the move happened. Jatt's departure only adds more fuel to the fire that things may not be all well for TL right now.
Along with Jatt's departure, Lucas "Santorin" Tao Kilmer was announced to be taking time off due to health issues. In his place, Jonathan "Armao" Armao will take the starting LCS jungle position.
Finally, Alphari will stay on the sidelines for this weekend and Jenkins will keep playing. The official announcement eludes that Alphari could be back after that though, so fans should be excited for that.
